The last SAM meeting was held in 2014 in Seattle and it was a huge success. We have been busy putting together the program for SAM 2016, and it has been a tremendous experience. We set out to organize a program that would have representatives from many specialties, disciplines and different parts of the world and we could not be more satisfied. Attendees are in for a treat, enjoying a state of the art conference that will cover many facets of airway management. This year SAM will be hosting the meeting in “the capital of the south” Atlanta, Georgia. We know traveling will not be a major factor since its international airport is one of the busiest in the world, with an estimated annual passenger movement of 100 million people. We would like to express the tremendous gratitude towards speakers and moderators that have accepted to be part of the meeting. We would also like to specially thank Carin Hagberg, Lorraine Foley, Lauren Berkow, Ashutosh Wali, the BOD members and of course Anne Marie Prince and Lynn Hancock, without whom this would have been impossible to do. Please let us know how we can make your visit to Atlanta enjoyable and we look forward to making this year’s SAM meeting memorable. Sincerely, Felipe Urdaneta Robert (Bob) Naruse
